Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She worked later as morning news anchor on WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers in response to DUI instances in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. The host of The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
